Higher education is about more than the classroom. From orientation and housing to clubs and other co-curricular activities, various aspects of campus life can make or break a student’s college or university experience. For student veterans who may be unaccustomed to traditional campus life, this can be especially true.
This section of the Toolkit explores policies and services that colleges and universities can offer to help student veterans acclimate, receive support, and feel at home. It also addresses key diversity considerations related to the veteran population as well as ways to engage, welcome, and appreciate these important students.
